Maga 25: We stand with Tinubu to tame insecurity – Governors

The Progressives Governors’ Forum (PGF), Thursday expressed solidarity with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to tame insecurity nationwide.

Chairman of the forum, Sen. Hope Uzodimma, affirmed this in Birnin Kebbi, when he led a delegation of the Progressive Governors on a sympathy visit to Kebbi state governor, Nasir Idris, on the abduction of 25 school girls at Maga.

“We the governors, your brothers are here in solidarity with you on the tragic incident of the attack on the Girls School at Maga.

“We’ve decided to come to identify with you on this dastardly act to reassure you in unity, that we are standing behind President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the security agencies as the entire national security is threatened.

“Insecurity must be tamed and we queue behind President Tinubu to strengthen security in Nigeria and  ensure the survival of democracy.

“PGF is in full support of security agencies to bring the perpetrators to book, an injury to one is an injury to all, if one part is bleeding, other parts are bleeding as well.”

Governor Idris expressed immense appreciation to the Progressive Governors on behalf of the government and people of Kebbi for their empathy and sympathy.

“Your visit is very dear to us. This is in consolidation of the visit by Vice President Kashim Shettima, who was sent by President Tinubu with words of encouragement and support,” he said
