Nigeria will recover from hardship if governors deliver good governance: Tinubu

“If we put the people first, and if we lead with purpose, there is nothing our dear country cannot achieve,” he said.

President Bola Tinubu, on Wednesday, said Nigeria will recover and rise if state governors deliver good governance.

Mr Tinubu made this statement after his official visit to Nasarawa State to commission projects executed by Governor Abdullahi Sule.

“In Lafia today, I saw that alignment in motion. A working governor. A peaceful state. A people focused on growth. That is the spirit of Renewed Hope.

“The journey ahead will not be without challenges. But if each state follows the path of delivering good governance – planning, executing, and serving, we will not just recover; Nigeria will rise,” Mr Tinubu said in a statement on X.

Mr Tinubu assured state governments that “the federal government will continue to support and partner with states that are serious about delivery.”

The president added: “Nigeria is on a path of recovery and renewal. What we are building is not just infrastructure. We are building belief. From the campaign trail to the presidency, my message has been the same: if we align our efforts, if we put the people first, and if we lead with purpose, there is nothing our dear country cannot achieve.”
