2027: Dame Patience Jonathan Issues Stern Message: ‘Why Face Aso Rock Again?’

In a powerful address during a women’s event in Abuja, Former First Lady Dame Patience Jonathan urged her husband, ex-President Goodluck Jonathan, to steer clear of the 2027 presidential race. Emphasizing the staggering toll of governance, she questioned, “The stress of Nigeria is so much. If God man­aged to bring you out of it, you should glorify God… he has taken you there once; why do you want to go there again? I won’t go o.”

Her message arrives amid mounting pressure from party loyalists within the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), who have been encouraging Jonathan to challenge President Bola Ahmed Tinubu again in the upcoming election 

Moreover, Dame Patience didn’t just rule out a comeback—she publicly declared her allegiance to President Tinubu. At the same event, she pledged to campaign alongside First Lady Senator Oluremi Tinubu, reinforcing her commitment to the principle of rotational leadership and affirming that there can only be "one president at a time"

Tinubu grants automatic employment to children of late FCT Head of ServiceGrace Adayilo

President Bola Tinubu has approved automatic employment for the four children of the late Head of the Civil Service of the Federal Capital Territory FCT, Dr Grace Adayilo who recently passed on. FCT minister, Nyesom Wike, announced this on Saturday during the funeral service held at the National Ecumenical Centre, Abuja, where top government officials, civil servants, family and friends gathered to pay their last respects to the late Adayilo. He described her death as a painful loss, noting that she was a committed, humble and diligent public servant whose contributions to the Federal Capital Territory Administration FCTA would be deeply missed. “On behalf of the FCT Administration and on behalf of Mr President, I want to send our condolences to her family.
