2027: Okowa endorses Tinubu , says president restoring economic stability

Former Delta State Governor Ifeanyi Okowa has hailed President Bola Tinubu as a leader restoring stability and hope to Nigeria, urging Nigerians to support his re-election bid in 2027.

Speaking on Monday in Abuja at a national summit organised by the Integrity Group of Nigeria (IGN), themed “Renewed Hope Agenda through Continuity,” Okowa described Tinubu as an “action president” who has accepted responsibility for Nigeria’s challenges.

“Tinubu’s decisions may seem tough, but they are producing positive results. He is bringing stability and hope, taking the bull by the horns without blaming past administrations,” Okowa said in a report by the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN). “He promised to take responsibility, and that is exactly what he has done.”

The former governor pledged his full backing for Tinubu’s second-term ambition, saying his own political experience and resources would help strengthen the president’s agenda. He called on support groups to begin mobilising ahead of the next election.

IGN National Chairman Oke Idawene also praised Tinubu’s leadership, saying the president came into office prepared and is delivering on prosperity, citing student loans and improved security. “Never again shall we allow those who steal Nigeria’s prosperity to lead us,” Idawene declared.

Other speakers echoed support for Tinubu’s leadership. Former Senator Binta Garba noted that the president inherited a difficult situation but “turned things around,” while Pauline Tallen, former Minister of Women Affairs, urged prayers and national backing for Tinubu. She pointed to recent APC victories in by-elections and Nigerian girls winning international sports laurels as evidence of progress.

Nora Daduut, Pro-Chancellor of the Federal University of Technology, Akure, commended IGN for organising the summit and encouraged women in particular to spread the renewed hope message nationwide.

Tinubu grants automatic employment to children of late FCT Head of ServiceGrace Adayilo

President Bola Tinubu has approved automatic employment for the four children of the late Head of the Civil Service of the Federal Capital Territory FCT, Dr Grace Adayilo who recently passed on. FCT minister, Nyesom Wike, announced this on Saturday during the funeral service held at the National Ecumenical Centre, Abuja, where top government officials, civil servants, family and friends gathered to pay their last respects to the late Adayilo.
