2027: Tinubu-Ambode Support Group launches portal to mobilize voter registration
The Tinubu/Ambode Support Group has intensified efforts to increase voter registration across the Southwest by officially launching a volunteer portal aimed at mobilizing citizens ahead of the 2027 general elections. The initiative was disclosed on Monday in Lagos by the group’s Director-General, Hon. Seyi Bamgbade.
Bamgbade explained that the portal is designed to encourage eligible Nigerians to register, update, and collect their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) as the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) continues its nationwide exercise.
“The campaign goes beyond politics—it is about civic responsibility,” Bamgbade said. “By opening the portal to volunteers, the Tinubu/Ambode Support Group seeks to build a strong network of passionate Nigerians to join and assist the PVC Enlightenment Street Captains Team in covering communities across the Southwest.”
He noted that this initiative forms part of the broader campaign effort led by His Excellency Akinwunmi Ambode in support of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s second-term bid. Interested volunteers are encouraged to register via the official campaign website.
The platform provides volunteers access to essential information and sensitization materials. Participants will also receive souvenirs, including branded t-shirts, face caps, and other items, as part of their engagement in the campaign.
Bamgbade emphasized that the voter card is the most powerful tool in shaping Nigeria’s democracy. He stressed that through collective efforts and grassroots mobilization, more Nigerians can be empowered to make their voices count at the ballot box.
The group urged all citizens, particularly youths, to take an active role in the democratic process by securing their PVCs and encouraging others to do the same.
