Shetima Unveils Nigeria’s First National Industrial Manpower Policy at Abuja Summit


Vice President Kashim Shetima, standing in for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, delivered a keynote address today at the opening of the 2025 National Industrial Manpower Summit (NIMS) held at the State House Conference Centre, Abuja.

In his address, Shetima announced the federal government’s plan to launch Nigeria’s first-ever National Industrial Manpower Development Policy, a landmark initiative aimed at aligning the nation’s workforce with the evolving demands of industry.

He emphasized the pressing need to close the gap between educational output and industry requirements, stressing that bridging this divide is key to unlocking Nigeria’s full economic potential.

Tinubu grants automatic employment to children of late FCT Head of ServiceGrace Adayilo

President Bola Tinubu has approved automatic employment for the four children of the late Head of the Civil Service of the Federal Capital Territory FCT, Dr Grace Adayilo who recently passed on. FCT minister, Nyesom Wike, announced this on Saturday during the funeral service held at the National Ecumenical Centre, Abuja, where top government officials, civil servants, family and friends gathered to pay their last respects to the late Adayilo.
