Renewed Hope Agenda: No favouritism in location of projects – Wike

The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Nyesom Wike, says there is no favourite place for infrastructure development in the nation’s capital city.

The minister made this statement on Wednesday during the flag off of the projects in Guzape and Asokoro areas of the FCT.
“In my constitutional duties to provide infrastructure for the FCT, I have no favourite area, but be rest assured that the development will reach every part of Abuja. One of my friends has once asked me. When will this infrastructure development reach our own place?
“I don’t know where is where. As a minister, I stay in Asokoro village. My own goal is to deliver dividends of democracy to the people of the Federal Capital Territory.

“Once again, our goal is to make Abuja competitive with big cities in the developed world.
“I implore the youth to cooperate with the contractors so that they could execute the project in good time for the benefit of all Abuja residents,” he said.

President Bola Tinubu has approved automatic employment for the four children of the late Head of the Civil Service of the Federal Capital Territory FCT, Dr Grace Adayilo who recently passed on. FCT minister, Nyesom Wike, announced this on Saturday during the funeral service held at the National Ecumenical Centre, Abuja, where top government officials, civil servants, family and friends gathered to pay their last respects to the late Adayilo.
