City Boy Movement targets 10 million votes for Tinubu in 2027- DG

The Director-General of the City Boy Movement, Francis Oluwatosin, has declared that the movement remains Africa’s largest socio-political youth platform, with a target to mobilize 10 million votes for President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 general elections across Nigeria’s 36 states.

Oluwatosin made this known in Benin City during the City Boy Movement empowerment programme, where over 200 Edo youths benefited from various support initiatives.

He applauded President Tinubu’s ongoing economic reforms, describing them as bold steps toward national restructuring and sustainable growth. The DG also commended Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo, for his “visionary and silent leadership style,” noting visible progress in education, healthcare, infrastructure, and security.

In his address, Governor Okpebholo praised President Tinubu for his courage in implementing transformative policies and economic reforms, which he said are reshaping governance and driving national development. He added that the Federal Government’s support to states has enabled the execution of critical projects, including the ongoing flyover bridges and other infrastructural developments in Edo State.

Also speaking at the event, Edo State Deputy Governor, Rt. Hon. Dennis Idahosa, urged Edo youths to mobilize under the City Boy Movement to ensure that President Tinubu records the highest number of votes from the South-South region in the 2027 elections.

“Edo State belongs to President Tinubu because he is a reliable and decisive leader. With the governor’s performance, opposition in Edo will soon be history. I call on our youths to stand firm, support this movement, and ensure Edo delivers the highest votes for the President,” Idahosa said.

On his part, the Minister of Youth Development, Hon. Ayodele Olawande, lauded Governor Okpebholo for his developmental strides, describing the event as a celebration of peace and progress in the state.

He emphasized that youths remain central to both national and state development agendas, highlighting President Tinubu’s confidence in Nigeria’s young population.

President Bola Tinubu has approved automatic employment for the four children of the late Head of the Civil Service of the Federal Capital Territory FCT, Dr Grace Adayilo who recently passed on.
