2027: Consolidated APC grassroots movement unveils plans to secure 10m votes for Tinubu’s re-election
The Consolidated APC Grassroots Movement CAGrAM has launched a strategic roadmap to mobilise 10 million votes in support of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election in 2027.
The plan was unveiled at the National Grassroots Mobilisation Summit, held at the NAF Conference Centre, Abuja, which attracted over 2,000 participants from across the federation.
Speaking at the summit, Chairman, CAGrAM, Faisal Lawal, highlighted President Tinubu’s bold economic decisions aimed at repositioning Nigeria for long-term prosperity.
According to him, the aim of the mobilisation is to help grassroots Nigerians understand the reforms initiated by the President and why sustained public support is critical at this stage. He noted that the President’s economic reforms, though challenging, are deliberate steps toward transitioning the country into sustainable growth and prosperity.
The Chairman of the Central Organising Committee and National Moderator of CAGrAM, Dr Agbi Stephen Omobamidele, reaffirmed the movement’s support for President Tinubu’s re-election, citing his commitment to economic recovery, national security, and wealth creation.
Dr. Agbi called on the movement’s over 1.2 million registered members nationwide to adopt the “1 for 10” strategy, urging each member to mobilise at least ten voters. He explained that this approach would collectively translate into the target of 10 million votes for the President.
Speaking, the Minister of Interior, Hon. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, emphasised the need for collective responsibility in nation-building and urged Nigerians to support the Renewed Hope Agenda.
He stressed that the Tinubu administration has taken decisive steps to stabilise the economy.
The minister disclosed that the government has saved over 25 billion US dollars through the removal of petrol and foreign exchange subsidies.
He explained: “In previous years Nigeria spent about 10 billion dollars on fuel subsidy and 15 billion dollars on forex subsidy, while nearly half of national revenue went into debt servicing rather than development.”
Tunji-Ojo described subsidy removal as a difficult but necessary decision, adding that strategic financial reforms have helped place the country on a more sustainable path.
In his remarks, The National Director of Media of CAGrAM, Olufowobi Olarewaju Desmond, also called on Nigerians to support the Renewed Hope Agenda while adding that President Tinubu is laying the foundation for a safer and more secure future.
