AMAC Chair Declares Support For Tinubu, Wike, Celebrates Candido'’s Appointment as FCT Renewed Hope Coordinator

.The  Chairman, Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC), Christopher Zakka Maikalangu, has declared unconditional support to the governments of President Bola Tinubu and FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike.

The declaration of this unflinching support was contained in a Press Statement released to the media by the Senior Special Assistant to the Chairman on Media and Public Affairs, Kingsley Madaki.

Parts of the statement read The Chairman also extended his hearty congratulations to his predecessor, Honourable Abdullahi Adamu Candido, on his well-deserved appointment by His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, as the FCT Coordinator of the Renewed Hope Agenda
According to him  the appointment is  significant recognition of Hon. Candido's proven dedication, wealth of experience, and profound understanding of the FCT's grassroots dynamics.

​"On behalf of the leadership and the good people of the Abuja Municipal Area Council, I want to wholeheartedly congratulate a leader, my respected predecessor, Honourable Abdullahi Adamu Candido, on this crucial appointment," the Chairman stated.

​"This is a testament to his unwavering commitment to public service and the impactful legacies he left behind during his tenure as AMAC Chairman and our great Party, APC. 

His knowledge of the FCT, particularly the satellite towns and rural communities, makes him the ideal person to drive the 'Renewed Hope Agenda' at the FCT level."

​Honourable Maikalangu emphasized that the appointment comes at a crucial time when the FCT Administration, under the Honourable Minister, Barrister Ezenwo Nyesom Wike, CON, is rapidly executing projects aimed at improving the lives of residents. 

He expressed optimism that Hon. Candido's role would greatly complement these efforts.

​"The 'Renewed Hope' vision is all about inclusive governance and bringing tangible development to every corner of the country. 

With Honourable Candido coordinating this agenda in the FCT, we are confident that the goals of President Tinubu will be effectively translated into sustainable projects and programmes that will uplift our people," he added.

​The AMAC Chairman further assured the new Coordinator of the full cooperation and support of the AMAC administration in his new role.

​"We assure Honourable Candido of our readiness to collaborate closely with his office to ensure the successful implementation of the Renewed Hope Agenda across all the wards and communities of AMAC and the entire FCT. 

We wish him a successful and impactful tenure," the Chairman concluded.

President Bola Tinubu has approved automatic employment for the four children of the late Head of the Civil Service of the Federal Capital Territory FCT, Dr Grace Adayilo who recently passed on.
