Okowa’s South-south status will aid Tinubu’s 2027 victory- says group

As Nigerians edge closer to the 2027 presidential election, a Political pressure group under the aegis of Urhobo Nation for Tinubu 2027 (UNT2027) has described the appointment of Delta State former governor, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, as the South-South Renewed Hope Initiative (RHI) Coordinator by President Bola Tinubu, as a round peg in round hole.

The political pressure movement, registered as Urhobo Nation for Tinubu 2027, led by its President, Dr. Omodoro Adeseye-Ogunlewe, stated that Okowa’s choice as the coordinator of the president’s initiative is a well-deserved appointment considering the former governor’s contribution to the region’s growth and development.

In a congratulatory letter to the former governor and signed by Adeseye-Ogunlewe, the group leader stressed that Okowa’s experience and leadership qualities will also bring benefit to the region under the Tinubu-led administration.

She added that Okowa’s appointment is a reflection of his dedication to public service and national development, saying the appointment is a fitting recognition of his leadership style and experience in governance over the years.

“This new role reflects the confidence reposed in you to drive the Renewed Hope agenda across the South-South region. I am confident that your wealth of experience and deep understanding of the socio-political landscape will deliver meaningful impact and enduring benefits for our people.

“On behalf of Urhobo Nation for Tinubu 2027 (UNT-2027), I extend my heartfelt congratulations and best wishes for success as you undertake this important national assignment”.

In another development, Chief Dr. Peter Oriavwote, Vice President, Delta Central 1, of the group stated that the preoccupation of the group is the re-election of President Tinubu in 2027 in addition to the re-election of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori of Delta State and others come 2027.

Tinubu grants automatic employment to children of late FCT Head of ServiceGrace Adayilo

President Bola Tinubu has approved automatic employment for the four children of the late Head of the Civil Service of the Federal Capital Territory FCT, Dr Grace Adayilo who recently passed on. FCT minister, Nyesom Wike, announced this on Saturday during the funeral service held at the National Ecumenical Centre, Abuja, where top government officials, civil servants, family and friends gathered to pay their last respects to the late Adayilo.
