The convener of the Bola Ahmed Tinubu (BAT) Ideological Group, Hon. Bamidele Atoyebi, has launched a renewed outreach campaign aimed at educating communities on the BAT Home-Cell strategy as part of efforts to strengthen grassroots engagement and maintain consistent contact with families in need of support.
Speaking in Abuja on Thursday during an exclusive meeting with former local government chairmen from across the country, Atoyebi said the initiative aligns with President Bola Tinubu’s commitment to building a nation where no citizen goes to bed hungry.
He explained that the Home-Cell structure was designed as a neighbourhood-based system through which citizens can access information, express concerns, and receive guidance on government programmes.
According to him, the philosophy behind the model is to promote civic awareness, encourage inclusive participation in governance, and advance the President’s broader ideological vision.
Atoyebi emphasized that the goal of the outreach is genuine community enlightenment, not political inducement.
According to him, “Through this home-cell we can identify who is feeding well, who among our support members feels neglected, who still depends on stream or well water, who lacks electricity, and who does not have access to quality education, among other basic daily needs.”
He noted that the Home-Cell approach helps attract individuals who sincerely identify with the group’s ideals and are willing to serve, stressing that the BAT Ideological Group “is not a gathering without purpose.”
“This is not a political platform for individuals who think only of themselves or their families,” he added. “What we do here is carry people along. Everyone deserves to be educated and kept informed about the movement—not bought.”
Atoyebi said the outreach also aims to rebuild trust between leaders and citizens, particularly in communities that feel ignored. “We’re out to make necessary connections so it becomes easier to reach those who feel used and abandoned,” he said.
Stakeholders at the meeting expressed readiness to replicate the Home-Cell model in their respective communities, describing it as a strategic tool for sustaining engagement, promoting accountability, and strengthening grassroots support.
