Sam Hails Tinubu’s Achievements, Predicts 2027 Victory
Honourable Sam Onuigbo, Member representing the South East on the Governing Board of the South East Development Commission (NEDC), has declared that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu deserves the votes of all eligible Nigerians in 2027, citing his success in steering the country toward sustainable economic growth and development.
Speaking during his family thanksgiving service at St. Paul’s Methodist Church, Obuohia Obi-Ibere, in Ikwuano Local Government Area of Abia State, the former federal lawmaker said the President’s policies and reforms are laying the foundation for long-term national progress.
“It is only wise for Nigerians to allow him to complete the good work he has started,” Onuigbo said, emphasizing that the President has already put the country on a path of stability and growth.
Expressing confidence in Tinubu’s re-election, he added: “I have no doubt whatsoever that in 2027, Tinubu will be re-elected as the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Facts and figures from the National Bureau of Statistics show that food prices have been steadily coming down.
Inflation has been reduced, and the President has successfully unified the foreign exchange rates.”
Highlighting improvements in the energy sector, Onuigbo noted that fuel queues, which historically plagued festive periods, are now a thing of the past due to the removal of the fuel subsidy.
“People now drive in and out of filling stations with ease, and some stations even compete for patronage by offering promotional products to customers,” he said.
The thanksgiving service was held to express gratitude for God’s mercies on him and his family. “God has protected and elevated us from humble beginnings,” he said.
“We have faced many political challenges, but His guidance has brought us through, and that is why we have come together to give thanks.”
A seasoned climate change advocate and former Commissioner for Lands and Finance in Abia State, Onuigbo also pledged to rebuild the church during the service as a token of appreciation for God’s blessings.
Prelate of the Methodist Church Nigeria, Dr. Oliver Aba, in his sermon, encouraged the congregation to emulate Onuigbo’s example of gratitude and humility.
The thanksgiving attracted notable political figures, including the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Benjamin Kalu, and Senator for Abia Central, Austin Akobundu, among others, underscoring the wide respect Onuigbo commands in political and civic circles.
