2026 Convention: APC appoints African Journalist Mr Ardo Zubairu into Digital and New Media Committee ,assures transparent process


The All Progressives Congress (APC) National  Convention Committee  led by 
former Katsina State Governor and ex-Speaker, House of Representatives, Rt.Hon.  Aminu Bello Masari has appointed African Journalist Mr Ardo Zubairu into its Digital and New Media Committee.
Former Senate President, Sen. Anyim Pius Anyim will serve as Vice-Chairman I, alongside the Chairman of the Nigerian Governors’ Forum (NGF), Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq is the Vice-Chairman II.
Yobe State Governor, Mai Mala Buni, will serve as the committee’s secretary.

Sen. Hope Uzodimma, the Chairman of the Progressive Governors Forum (PGF) earlier announced as the committee’s chairman, will now serve as its treasurer.
The reconstituted committee includes all  serving APC governors, its former National Chairman, Chief Bisi Akande, Sen. Adams Oshiomole, Sen. Abdullahi Adamu, and Dr Abdullahi Ganduje.
Key national lawmakers, including Senate President Godswill Akpabio; Reps Speaker, Tajudeen Abbas; Deputy Senate President Barau Jibrin, and Deputy Speaker, Benjamin Kalu will all serve as members.
Other members of the committee include former senate presidents and speakers, serving and former principal officers of both chambers of the National Assembly and serving ministers
Mr. Ardo  was born in Yola, Adamawa State   to  a large family with  brothers and sisters. His mother guided her active child to channel his energy into his studies. Mr. Ardo earned a grant to study at  th Centre  for Investigative Journalism ,City  University London https://tcij.org/
He completed the rest of his education  in London by studying  at the London Film Academy https://londonfilmacademy.com
and London academy of Media  and Television in Fulham and Eustant, All in Greater London, United Kingdom.
Mr Ardo earned Bachelor of  Art  in History from University of Abuja  and PGD in Journalism From  International Institute of Journalism. 
He joined the  Services  of Federal Capital Territory Administration in  2001 and Redeployed to  FCT Ministers  Office Press  Unit where he worked under Six FCT Ministers ,thankful he never had a single query in 17 years.
In between , Mr Ardo briefly worked with Katsina  State Governor office as Social Media Coordinator, Office of the  First of Lady of Nigeria as Webmaster , NCBSG  as Director of  Media,,and  Board Member Representing North East at. The Niger Delta Development Commission ( NDDC) Among Many Others.
Although he out his studies  in History, he soon switched to  Journalism in London  He traveled to Ukraine on Global Investigative Journalism Network Scholarship and  to  South Africa as part of the International  Training  of Federal Capital Territory Administration.
Mr. Ardo  met his  wife  Zainab  when they were neighbors living in Abuja, Capital of Nigeria. They got married on  5th December 2014. just two weeks after he returned from London. 
In March  2025 , He quit the Civil service  to head  Tinubu Re- Election Project 2027  as it's National Secretary .
London Trained Journalist Mr. Ardo appoints to  Head  TInubu Reelection project 2027 as National Secretary. He also The Publisher  and Editor- In- Chief  of. TInubu Reelection Magazine.
Mr Ardo is the founder  and Editor-  in - Chief of African Journalist Media Platforms.He reflects upon and shares his extraordinary experiences  On his Blog Mr Ardo, London Trained Journalist from West Africa .
