Deputy Speaker Benjamin Kalu Declares Tinubu’s 2027 Re-election a ‘Done Deal,’ Welcomes Abia City Boy Movement to Support Bid

Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Benjamin Kalu, has expressed unwavering confidence in President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election in 2027, describing the outcome as a “done deal” and citing the administration’s youth-focused policies as a major factor in securing victory.

Kalu made the declaration on Monday, March 23, 2026, while receiving a delegation from the Abia State chapter of the City Boy Movement at the National Assembly complex in Abuja. The group was led by its state coordinator, Mayor Lucky Igbokwe.

The Deputy Speaker praised President Tinubu as a “youth-friendly leader” who has deliberately empowered young Nigerians by tapping into their talent pool and giving them strategic roles in governance.

“The beauty of this administration is the deliberate, intentional effort of the Grand Patron of City Boy Movement, the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Bola Ahmed Tinubu in picking talents among this demography known as the youth,” Kalu stated.

He welcomed the Abia City Boy Movement as a valuable partner in the political journey ahead, highlighting the group’s role in mobilizing support and promoting inclusive engagement among young people.

Kalu emphasized that the Tinubu administration’s achievements, combined with its intentional inclusion of youths, have positioned the President strongly for a second term.

“2027 is a done deal,” he affirmed, adding that the momentum built through youth empowerment and visible governance reforms will ensure a seamless victory at the polls.

The City Boy Movement, which has gained traction in several states including Abia, describes itself as a non-partisan civic platform focused on youth participation, constructive dialogue, and bridging the gap between citizens and government. Its Abia chapter has been vocal in supporting progressive policies and national unity initiatives.✨
