Radda Calls For Unity Of APC In Katsina

Katsina State Governor, Dikko Umaru Radda, has called for unity among members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) as he inspected the ongoing construction of the party’s new state secretariat in Katsina.

During a visit to the APC State Secretariat, the governor met with party leaders and newly elected executives following the successful conduct of the party congresses across the state.

Radda congratulated the newly elected officials at the state, local government and ward levels, urging them to remain loyal, disciplined and committed to the ideals of the party.

He emphasized that unity, fairness and inclusiveness remain key pillars for strengthening the party and sustaining its progress across the state.

“I congratulate all the newly elected party officials at the state, local government and ward levels. Your emergence is a call to service and responsibility,” the governor said.

He urged the executives to work together in promoting unity and intensifying grassroots mobilisation to further strengthen the party’s structure in communities across Katsina State.

The governor also assured the party leadership of his administration’s continued support in improving facilities and infrastructure at the party headquarters to enable party officials to effectively discharge their responsibilities.

Radda further advised APC Local Government chairmen to regularly visit party offices in their respective areas to strengthen coordination and engagement with party members at the grassroots.

During the visit, the governor inspected the ongoing construction of the new APC State Secretariat and expressed satisfaction with the progress and quality of work at the site.

According to him, the new secretariat is expected to be completed within the next two to three months.

Earlier, the APC Chairman of Katsina Local Government, Kofar Bai, thanked the governor for visiting the party secretariat and meeting with the newly elected executives.

He said the visit demonstrates the governor’s commitment to strengthening unity and stability within the party in Katsina State.

Also speaking, the Chief of Staff to the governor, Abdulkadir Mamman Nasir, commended Radda for his role in reconciling party leaders and ensuring inclusiveness during and after the party congresses.

Governor Radda was accompanied on the visit by commissioners, members of the Katsina State Executive Council and other senior government officials.

… Swears In Two Cabinet Members
Katsina State Governor, Dikko Umaru Radda, has sworn in two newly confirmed commissioners, charging them to serve the people with loyalty, competence and a strong sense of responsibility.

The swearing-in ceremony took place at the Government House in Katsina, following the confirmation of the nominees by the Katsina State House of Assembly.

The new commissioners are Sani Aliyu Ahmed and Mannir Ayuba Sullubawa.

Speaking during the ceremony, Governor Radda described the occasion as an important step in strengthening governance and advancing the development agenda of his administration.

“Today, we are witnessing an important event in the life of this administration , the swearing-in of two new members into the Katsina State Executive Council,” the governor said.

Radda praised Ahmed for his longstanding contributions to the growth of the All Progressives Congress in the state.

He noted that Ahmed served as the pioneer secretary of the party in Katsina during its formative years and was later elected state chairman.

According to the governor, Ahmed’s leadership helped the party achieve significant electoral victories across the state.

“Under his watch, the APC achieved overwhelming successes. Today, Katsina remains one of the few states where virtually all elected officials belong to the ruling party,” he said.

The governor also commended Sullubawa, describing him as an experienced technocrat who had served the state diligently in various capacities within the civil service.

“He has proven to be hardworking, knowledgeable and dedicated. He understands the system and possesses the experience required to strengthen governance,” Radda said.

The governor explained that one of the appointments was also meant to address a longstanding imbalance in representation, noting that Katsina metropolis had not produced a commissioner since Nigeria’s return to democracy in 1999.

He urged the new commissioners to support the administration’s “Building Your Future” development agenda and work collaboratively with other members of the State Executive Council.

“Leadership is a trust, a responsibility before God and the people. I expect you to discharge your duties with integrity, loyalty and the fear of Allah,” the governor cautioned.

Radda further called on the commissioners to align their efforts with the government’s priorities in security, education, healthcare, agriculture and economic development.

The event was attended by the Deputy Governor, Faruk Lawal, the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Abdulkadir Mamman Nasir, the Head of Civil Service, Falalu Bawale, members of the State Executive Council, political stakeholders, families of the appointees and other dignitaries.
