APC to present Tinubu with certificate of return, party flag for 2027 presidential race

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will on Sunday, May 24 formally receive the Certificate of Return and the flag of the ruling party as the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress for the 2027 general election.

The presentation is expected to take place at the Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Conference Centre following the nationwide collation of results from the party’s presidential primary election.

According to a statement issued on Saturday by the President’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the presentation will be conducted by the APC Presidential Primary Elections Committee.

The event is expected to attract key figures within the ruling party, including APC governors, members of the National Executive Committee (NEC), the National Working Committee (NWC), lawmakers of the National Assembly and other party leaders.

The ceremony is expected to formally conclude the party’s presidential primary process and signal the commencement of activities around the APC’s campaign preparations ahead of the 2027 elections

President Bola Tinubu has approved automatic employment for the four children of the late Head of the Civil Service of the Federal Capital Territory FCT, Dr Grace Adayilo who recently passed on. FCT minister, Nyesom Wike, announced this on Saturday during the funeral service held at the National Ecumenical Centre, Abuja, where top government officials, civil servants, family and friends gathered to pay their last respects to the late Adayilo.
